Beats Sensation - The Pro DJ School

Music makes the world go round, they say. If you have an ear for the latest sounds and know what it takes to get the crowd on their feet, a career as a Disc Jockey (DJ) is just right for you.

Disc Jockeys have been around in Indian metros for quite some time now, many pursuing it as a part-time opportunity to earn some extra money. Most DJs say they enjoy their job as they get to liven up parties by mixing tunes, forming beats and creating the right ambience in the club. And with an increase in parties and party hoppers in metros, DJ’ing has evolved as a profession.

"Earlier, hardly a few people wanted to be DJs. But since the past few years I have been surrounded with queries about the profession. A lot of people had been sending me mails and asking me to come up with my own school and teach the art. Looking at the urge and the future prospect to both the aspiring people and the DJ’ing Industry, I decided to open the school" - DJ Arin (Owner of Beats Sensation® – The Pro-DJ School, Bangalore).

Girls Cannot DJ! Says Who?

Contrary to popular belief, women DJs are as much in demand as their male counterparts. A reason for this is the ‘wow’ or pull factor, which brings people to the venue. If a woman can play well and looks good too (you don’t have to be a Miss India), she can make it big in no time.

"When I decided to take up DJ’ing as a career, people didn't take me seriously because the profession was not considered a viable option at that time. But now things have changed and people are not only warming up to the idea but accepting women DJs as well" - Megha, a Mumbai-based DJ, told to a media. Some of the more popular women DJs not only play in India but also at venues abroad.
